The “Teen Canteen”

The “Teen Canteen” is the name of the concession stand that is located in Riverview Park. The history of the building that contains the teen canteen started in the 19th century when it was a shed for a farm house on Main Street. In 1997, it was removed from the old site and placed at its present location. It was named the “Teen Canteen” because teenagers can raise money for specific youth groups by selling concessions during the movie. Items sold are popcorn, pop, coffee, slushies, snow cones, pizza, cotton candy, nachos and water . Ninety percent (90%) of all money raised is donated to the teen group.
